Digital River, who run the store on behalf of BlackBerry, has said they will start shipping units on back order by October 29 so I doubt they'll be in stock before then. They will probably open up ordering again before then with shipping at a later date so it's still worth keeping an eye on Shop Blackberry and get your order in as soon as you can.

If I could predict the future I would look into lottery numbers. But that said, the Oct. 29 date would be an indication or as the other post said just keep checking. Good luck its a great phone.

hopefully the Oct 29 deadline will give BB time enough to produce enough to not only cover the back orders but maintain enough inventory to handle the new orders coming in. My fear is that they will produce enough to handle some, but not all of the back orders. Or that they'll not produce enough extra to cover new orders (since they've stopped taking new orders, they probably don't really know how many extras to produce to handle new sales beyond the purchases they've already registered).

So if you really want one, I suggest checking the shop blackberry page frequently when the ship date gets here. We don't know if they'll be able to take new orders, and if they can, we don't know that they won't sell out again after a few hours of doing so.
