Videos, photos and discussion are all over the net of the Passport running Android, but no word of when the upgrade would be. Excuse me if this question has already been asked in the forum, I am just loving the Passport and I'd like to get one, but the problem is the BB10 iOS. I heard people talking about a "Passport 2" launching next year with Android M. Nothing for sure, though.

Not going to happen. That picture of a Passport running Android has long since been proven to be a fake.

Why would they do it? The closest thing they'll do is offer a Android version passport

I don't think so.. probably there would be a new Android version of Passport, with 4GB RAM, running Android Lollipop.

The current generation Passports will never receive Android. There are however a very small amount of specially made Passport SE devices which are running Android but purely for testing purposes.

Depending on how well the BlackBerry Priv sells, BlackBerry might introduce.. (pains me to say this) another iteration or the Passport but it would run Android.

Still holding out hope that Android is a one time thing but if we want to see more BB10 devices, BlackBerry needs to sell a lot of Android to recover lost revenue.
