Woke up this morning and my Passport was bricked. I tried to reset it and I'm receiving an error message (0015). I connected to Link to try to reload the software but it gets stuck on "connecting to device" and can't do anything. Does anyone know how to solve this? Has anyone else had the same problem? This is my 2nd Passport in a month and I'm quite disappointed.

    Please refer to http://us.blackberry.com/support/err...bb10-0015.html .

May I ask if you have done anything special to your Passport?

@yhamaie Thanks for your response. I have referred to the link you provided, but BlackBerry Link is unable to restore the software on the phone (it cannot even connect to the phone successfully).

As far as anything special I've done to the phone, not really... I only have about 5-10 apps installed, mostly using Snap. Now that you mention it, the only other thing that has been strange on the phone is that the Amazon App Store has not worked for the last ~days; it always gets stuck on the "connecting to app store" screen. Perhaps the two are related (or perhaps not). I haven't installed anything new recently, not within the last week or so. I saw something about "nuking" the device, but the software would not work (I'm guessing because I'm using a Mac).

In order for the passport to be seen by your Link you must switch off mass storage

Hi OP, what OS are you running. If I haven't lost count, you would make #4 that this has happened too and my father-in-law's and the others were on 10.3.0.908. None of us got an error code though, just the phone stuck and wouldn't come on. My FIL send his back and got another one as it was under 30 days. Robert got his going by holding the power button and the up and down volume button for over 10 to 15 seconds. Maybe this might helps fix yours. We tried using an autoloader to fix my FIL's but it didn't work. We didn't get a chance to try the 3 button hold trick as the phone was already sent out.
    Hope this helps. Good luck.

I am running 10.3.0.908 also. Eventually I was able to get Link to reload the factory OS after un- and re-downloading Link and restarting my computer. Kind of a strange series of events but I'm relieved that it seems to be working fine now, although the Amazon App Store still does not work.

Weird, you can download the Amazon App Store APK... it will just override the built in one, might get it started up again.

Hi OP, glad you got your phone up and running again. Thanks for the tip on how you revived your phone as I'm worried about my wife's passport.

    Enjoy your phone once again.

I have to admit it happened to my passport two days ago I got that same message with a yellow triangle. Update your blackberry link without blackberry plugged before you unbrick it with link. It took about 20 mins to reload the software with link and it was a simple fix. I have a contact back up app so I wasn't totally at a loss but I did lose my password keeper passwords and some important remember lists that I had. Now I will try to set them up on some type of cloud service so it wont happen again.

Use sachesi and side load a fresh new copy of the os. Usually that works!
