Dodgy wifi?
I love my Passport, but the wifi is horrendous. Every hour or so, it stops working and only gets working again if I shut off the cell radio and wifi radio and turn them back on. Then it works for another hour or two and fails again.
It happens at work, at home and at friends' homes, across a variety of wifi routers.
Did I get a bad one? It is going to be impossible to use as a business device, if wifi is not reliable.

Have you checked here to see if others have the same issue? Im not sure I have read about this problem with the Passports. Which OS do you have? Have you changed it at all?

It is stock out of the box. I didn't see another thread, which is why I raised the question. If it is just my device, I will need to send it back.

I don't know about the passport but some older OS's were terrible for keeping WiFi. Currently, on the newest leak, it has been fine. So it could just be the OS.

Never had this issue, I am on 10.3.0.1418 OS version.

Check your background running apps. See if they might be interfering with some of this. I think Max Mobility was running in the background and was giving me issues.

What kind of wifi band are you using? I have the latest duel band wifi and the 5ghz wireless AC is constantly dropping connection and shows low single all over my house. The 2.4ghz wireless N is strong in signals, stable and never dropped a connection. I gave up on AC and stuck to N.

The 5GHz settings vary on different routers and the Passport is fussy about the frequency/channel, mine had to be tweaked before it would even be detected by the Passport
