I'm thinking about buy the Passport soon. But I think about something every time: 32 x 64 bits processor. I don't know the technical info, but basically 64 allows more RAM and it's faster. We know "slider" is probably coming with a 64 bits processor, even though I don't know what could really be improved with this.

My doubt: after 10 months of date launch, the 32 bits processor Passport is still a good option? Do you guys think it will be obsolete anytime soon? Or, even with this processor, the Passport has a long life with future OS updates? Better wait for the new devices news, including slider or - maybe -a 64bits passport, or buy it now?

    Thks!

Does the device have the features you want at a price you can afford? If so I say get it! I love my passport. You can play the waiting game forEVER, yes something better and faster is coming because something better and faster is ALWAYS coming! Yes I think the passport is a good value at 500ish retail, or whatever your carrier discounts it to under contract.

Yep. The price is close of what you said. I'm just concerned because we're too close of the new device announcement (rumors say November) and the new processor capabilities. Like you said, the game never ends. I just don't want to spend that money and regret it soon

Ordered mine from AT&T yesterday. Scheduled to be delivered today. Can't go wrong with $100.00 + 2 year contract...

The phone has plenty of power and is more powerful than probably at least 75% of phones out there in use.

The question is, do you like the Passport design or do do you want a slider?

I have had mine for six months and love it

Definitely prefer Passport design. My doubt is about performance only. Do you think it's specs will be enough for next OS updates? Word has it 10.4 would run 64bits processors only.

Received my Passport (RED) 5 DAYS ago. My first Blackberry in 6 years, BOY! is this thing a beast. Go get it If it meets your needs. I haven't held a mobile device so good and so masculine. Feature rich and flat out awesome. Even better after I baked in Google Play - WIN WIN

Nobody knows anything about 10.4... currently all BlackBerry 10 devices are continuously getting updated and won't change anytime soon unless BlackBerry devices to cut everything at once.

If you want a good price on a very reasonable phone then go with Passport. If you want to pay top dollar on the next device than wait.

Just keep in mind, electronics are usually considered out dated after 6 to 8 months after release and the next new one is coming out.

Why suffer any longer? Just go get one, this way, any delays for the new products wont bother you one bit! Alot can happen by November.

As they always said, 'good things happen to those who patiently waiting'... and besides, Christmas is just around the corner - unless those Illuminati guys are right about what is coming on between September 22-28...
