Completely agreed that the current passport could go a LONG way with some simple software and firmware upgrades. For sure. The idea of going back to a touch screen keyboard makes me cringe, and the idea of being forced to leave BlackBerry os makes me cringe harder.

It's because all of those dumb ******* services stopped supporting those apps on our devices. Same as my $3,000 plasma panasonic... youtube one day stopped working on it, even though it was always 100% flawless. Why? Because Youtube itself stopped supporting certain devices, including mine.

I would love to see them keep the same body (save them $$ on R&D) and just improve the processor, camera, add some extra RAM and such. Maybe call it the Passport SSE (Silver Special Edition).
