I tried one...no joy. I don't wanna record all calls... would like to have it as an option at the time of placing the call or receiving the call, also during the call anytime... ideas?

I faced the same issue with almost 5 different apps and I jumped into a conclusion that some providers, am in saudi arabia, don't allow such feature and I have confirmed with an android user as well as he wasn't able to record calls anymore here is saudi.

You did not mention whether your preference is a native app, so I went ahead and tried ACR (an android app). It records over BT but the speaker mode and BT mode needs to be toggled with every time. Although, it may seem a hassle you could use ACR for BT recordings and Parrot Pro for speaker mode.

The drawbacks for ACR is that it isn't native, the recording's title is 'unknown' so it needs to be renamed every time, the file size is big and the voice is low - but that could change by playing the recording through a speaker. Here are a few app screenshots to give you an idea:

You can set it to prompt on every call whether you want to record it or not.

I found Parrot is not supported on the Passport but does work on the Z10 not sure about the Z30. I asked parrot about this but that would not reply after asked this question.

What do you mean it's not supported? I use Parrot Pro religiously on my Passport - I record interviews on it all the time, and was more than happy to pay for the Pro version. Having said that, I have never tried using it with a Bluetooth headset, so I can't comment on whether or not it will work for the OP.

A lot of my parrot recordings play in fast forward mode with static for some reason
