Do Android tablet apps run on the Passport?

I'm disappointed with MS Office mobile, which runs fine on my Passport but is very limited in functionality. Before I waste any time trying to get tablet versions of Word and Excel to work, I would like to ask those who have already tried. Thanks in advance.

Word and Excel for Tablet require Android 4.4. Don't think that will run on the Android Runtime on a Passport. In my experience they are not much different than Office Mobile.They both still require an Office 365 sub to open features.
