Hi there :)
How is the Passport display connected to the mainboard?
I like to replace the board with another one, in order to get a new OS on it.
(I am aware, that there are more hurdles, so as the keyboard driver.)
Thanks a lot :D

There are tear down videos.
Explain new OS??? Are you trying to install another version of BB10 for some reason. Or you want to run Android?
I think a teardown video or webpage should be enough to show you that getting the mainboard from another device to fit into the Passport isn't going to be very easy.... screen connector isn't the issue.
Real issue would be getting Android to run on that resolution as it isn't a supported size. Not sure if it would plug-n-play or if it would require a lot of coding.
That no one other than BlackBerry has tried to do it and partially succeeded... it very telling.
I seriously like to confirm my observation, since its always possible that a vendor decides to do something special.
It looks like a MIPI-DSI to me, do you agree?
The OS I am targeting is Debian and Arch with such a board:

About the display resolution: Yes, this and other things are challenges.
Which is for what we are born for, right? ;)
