I have both, I'm trying to love the passport but still after 3 weeks I miss the classic keyboard. But every time I go back to it I miss the passport screen and speed. Maybe their next device will be a mix of the two.

I think we love the keyboard of Classic because we were used to the keyboard of Bold or similar BlackBerry device. We had developed quite a bit muscle memory using those. They were not all natural in the beginning but we got accustomed to them. Giving time and effort to learn the letter placement on the Passport is the only way to find out its something you will like or not. I don't think trying it for a few minutes will paint the true picture.
You will be looking for something you already know in a device which is something totally different.

It's something what a lot of Android users try to look for in iOS or vice versa. Just try to use it with open mind. It took me second time to fall in love with Passport. I had Classic for couple of weeks, and loved it too. It only made me buy the Passport the second time

Good luck deciding. You'll be happy with your choice.

I'd probably say the classic but depends on your use case. Tumblr viewing, lots of tweeting, web browsing, watching shows and enjoying the speed is why I got my Passport. However, if I wasn't big on that and mainly emailed all day I would probably have a classic.

I have owned both devices since they released and end up using the Classic 80% of the time.

I've followed this thread since it started and I'll put my 2 cents in. The Passport keyboard features and extra specs, for me, far outweigh the small update to the Q10 found in the Classic. It is taking me some time to adjust to the different keyboard layout but the ability to flick and use the keyboard as a track pad is amazing. The biggest adjustment is the location of the spacebar.

Passport arrived on Saturday and I like it a lot. Keyboard different but not unpleasant. Learning all the time.

Had an issue that my Wifi 'logo' does not show up in the upper corner. Thought I was not on Wifi, but I am luckily.

Overall very happy I chose the paspoort and not the classic.

It just occurred to me that, above, where I vote for the Passport, my vote is also heavily biased for screen size due to vision problems. If I didn't have that I might be more likely to have gotten a Classic.

You get used to the big size si fast tho. I dont see it as a big phone at all anymore, i just now find "normal" phones to be quite small.

This is exactly what I am hoping for--a passport with a four row traditional BlackBerry hardware keyboard and NO virtual keyboard. (Will keep predictive text and word swipe though.)

Honestly, the contextual virtual keyboard is pretty awesome. In effect you get a very large keyboard when you need it and an amazing physical keyboard when you don't. The spacebar location is the only oddity and I've adjusted to that quickly (maybe three days).

Took the advice and got my Passport on Saturday. I love it. Keyboard is awesome. New, and of course you have to get used to it, but it is great.

Best phone I have owned. Classic will come as my second phone.
