    Only the people that don't have a shipping status or already hve the phone shipped to them are replying to this thread. Those of us that ordered last week and received the phones already, have already replied on a few of the other threads.

    I called DR on the 8th to question why they had charged me the full amount to my card. They stated that they would raise the issue and get back to me. I was also assured that it was normal to get the hard case on its own prior to the device. If they have no stock, they ship what they can. She gave me the excuse of "high public demand " to explain the delays.

    I ordered with the VIP coupon on Oct 4th. My card was charged shortly after. I had no more contact regarding my order. I called 2 days ago and they told me give them 24-48 hrs. Escalated the call just now to a supervisor then manager at Digital River who advised me the device has not been shipped. Blackberry is out of stock. There is a back order and he has no information on when they will get a new shipment.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you needed to have ordered within half and hour or so from when the 25% coupon code was posted in this forum to get a Passport from the in stock Passports. My order was submitted at 6:35pm EST and confirmed at 7:05pm EST, Friday October 4th. It arrived on Thursday, October 9.

    Check your bank, credit card statements online. When the charge is made, it is likely your Passport is getting ready for shipping. If it takes too long, the hold will come off your card, but eventually they will charge it when it is time to ship.

    I have now gone to the Blackberry Support forums. TyW, The Community Manager has gotten this escalated to the top guy at DR.
    Go to Blackberry site Community Blackberry Passport Forums "ShopBlackberry online shop very disappointed" thread..

    This is only true if you used your CC when purchasing... If you used PayPal for your order, it will show on your online bank site as Pending ONLY until you receive a Proof of Purchase/Confirmation email from DR.... then your online bank will show as an Authorized Charge. (In my case it was showing as charged the next day.)
    Ordered 10/04 and I still have not received a shipping notice email from DR.

    I ordered from California. On another thread somebody else had ordered from the same time zone (PST) just 30 minutes after I did, but didn't receive a confirmation or shipping e-mail.

    My order was the same time as yours and no backorder email. I got a shipping email but nothing every got shipped. They are tracking down the package now.

    I believe the standard way to cancel a order with Digital River is to refuse shipment. The order processing department seems disconnected with the fulfillment/shipping department.

    Your other option is to sell it sealed, probably at a profit, given that some people have said they're willing to pay upwards of $100 or more to be assured they'd get one instead of dealing directly with Digital River.

    The problem was you shouldn't have been able to order on the US site and have delivery to Canada. Probably messes up their logistics. You probably have no reason to complain if you were trying to do something their system can't do.

    When the PlayBook went on sale lots of people tried ordering on the US site and having it shipped elsewhere ( usually not Canada, but everywhere else in the world) and I don't think any of them succeeded.
