I'm curious if anyone's come across this. I tried to get my phone unlocked through one of those unlocking websites, and when I was trying to find my IMEI, I noticed the method from *#06# produced a 16 digit number while going into settings>about>hardware, it produced a 15 digit IMEI. Both numbers are exactly the same except the *#06# method produced an extra "3" towards the end of the IMEI.

When I typed in my IMEI for the unlocking website, I tried typing in the 16 digit IMEI but the website said it was too long, so I went with the 15 digit IMEI. However the code produced by the website doesn't work, it shows "Network code entered successfully", however it's still locked. Some other Z10 users were experiencing this here

Has anyone noticed the difference in IMEI numbers? The box on my phone also lists the 15 digit number as the IMEI.

The 16th number is a checksum digit and can be ignored.

Yeah I have an extra 3 as well, but I think it's not a big deal.
