I bought my Passport from ShopBB at launch time. Getting the recent update OTA and the recent fix for flickering I am glad I did not wait for AT&T to finally come to the table. I have been able to enjoy my phone for all of these months and I am not burden with AT&T bloatware.

Bought it outright from ShopBB, $599.00, got the new update and it's been a pleasure using my Red Edition PP. Got the sim card from AT&T and now I need to cancel my Verizon Z30.
I just can't seem to like using the Z30 anymore...

I was going to wait for AT&T to start selling the Passport but I got tired of the foot dragging and 4 months of "Coming Soon".
I bought mine through Amazon for $615. That included next day shipping. No regrets at all. And "coming soon"....no contract.

I have bought several passports off Kijji Canada and a couple of new ones from Amazon and ended up selling them to friends and clients who just had to have the device after playing with it. I feel like a BlackBerry ambassador here in the USA.

I just recently picked up another used one off of Kijji for a great deal because I had sold my red limited edition one for a profit and bought a classic, but found myself missing the passport. I am going to look at the AT&T model with the rounded corners and see if I like it and if I can get it unlocked. I will probably end up buying one.

Yep, bought mine outright & unlocked (Car Phone Warehouse @ Selfridges, London, England), for 449.95 (c.375+VAT).

The phone would have been free on a 2 year contract (and unlocked too, if you collect it in person from the Car Phone Warehouse concession @ Selfridges), but I didn't want to get tied down to 2 years and would probably have had to change carriers too (from EE UK to either Vodafone or O2) to get the best deal..... going for a 1 year contract would have meant a whopping up front fee (150-180) to get the phone.

So, bought the phone outright and then haggled with EE on the phone to change my contract to a 12-month sim only deal - same deal as I had before for my Q10 (which I had bought on a 1 year contract), eg unlimited minutes/texts, 4G, 5Gb data, discount on traveller packs, usual benefits (wifi in London tube stations, free 0800 calls, free cinema tickets whilst they are still doing this).... but now the price has dropped from 57pcm (incl VAT) to an average of 15.99pcm (incl. VAT) - eg the contract is 21.99pcm with a 50% discount for the first 6 months. Result! 40pcm saving.....

I'm very happy with my Passport!!

Only thing I am not happy with, is not being able to edit Contacts via Blend....

I think the rounded corners (AT&T Passport) will be much more practical as sometimes my Passport catches on the pocket lining in old jackets.....

I was explaining this concept to a product designer friend on the basis that that the rounded corners are more functional.... her response, which surprised me greatly, was that the Passport looks much 'cooler' and 'cutting edge' with the standard 'sharp' corners

I agree that AT&T might have made the right decision by redesigning the passport, I think I will appeal to a much wider audience now, only time and sales figures will tell. Going to the local AT&T corporate store today to look at one.

Z30, outright buy, no contract with VZW, kept all my unlimiteds (voice/text/data) for 79.00/month. Otherwise I would have lost my "Grandfather".........Same plan for over 5 years, and VZW HATES me......They really want those to go away....

Bought mine outright on ShopBB. I've done this with the last few phones I've bought. I will no longer be tied to a contract. Gives me the option to shop around and leave a carrier should they raise prices or **** me off.
