I did, I got mine on amazon at the debut price, but I also had about $250 built up on my discover card as a cash back bonus. I cashed it in to effectively get a really sweet out of pocket price on my passport.

It'll be nice when my contract is due, I'll be able to shop around for pricing on my monthly plan.

Yup, purchased it outright on Amazon. I didn't get a deal. I paid a significant amount over the retail price because I just wanted it. Waited three weeks for delivery, and received it at the end of October.

Worth every penny.
