I have literally looked everywhere in the UK to find an off the shelf BB Passport Gold but can't find it.
I have seen a few sellers in Vietnam selling it but would rather deal locally.
Please could somebody tell me is these are available off the shelf officially?
The only other option is to buy one from either BB direct or Selfridges and then have it gold plated in an after-market.
Opinions / Suggestions please.

Opening the phone would be a deal breaker for me, perhaps if I paid Blackberry repair shop some money to open it for me, let me have the bezel and then put it back together?
I am close to London so could visit any BB repair shop if needed.
PS: Phone looks very nice.
I would be very, very surprised if they took such custom jobs, especially since they're not repair" jobs.
It's also not cheap, like $1500.

If you go gold, you have to do the frets too. Otherwise, what's the point.

Do you mean the buttons? Cannot do the silver bars on the keyboard. Get someone to take your Passport apart and send me the steel frame. For $1600 I'll get it plated and send it back to you.

Yep, the silver bars on the keyboard. It can be done. There is a shop in Vietnam that did the whole phone, frets included. Not sure if they are plastic, painted as gold, or plated though.

I have been in talks with this Vietnam company who can sell me one with Gold fret and Gold BB logo.

Decision to be made very shortly.
Taking it apart is the challenge. Plenty of people who can plate here for �100 - �200 (one man band) or �500 for Goldgenie to plate my device, but lacks BB logo & frets.

I was interested in gold plating mine. I can take the phone apart my self. I just can't find a gold plating company in the UK that is reasonably priced...
Any suggestions?
