Name one other company that abandoned their product like BlackBerry did with playbook. After leading their customers on for two years and then just completing giving them the shaft. And I'm over it ie playbook. But once burned. It seems BlackBerry powers to be think they can do the same thing again. Anyway back to my orinal question. Name one other company who screwed their customers like blackberry did with playbook. Hardware btw

    HP (WebOS) comes to mind.

Also Commodore 64 is a bad example, I ran one for over 10 years. The were supported long after they became obsolete. And was the most successful personal computer of it's time.

HP killed o the Touchpad shortly after Release seling out a $700 device for $99 all over; HP produced the Pre3 phone (very nice) but nevefr released it in the USA (sold for a while in the UK); HP sold the lovely little Veer via ATT but abandoned the webOS system screwing the customers for all 3 devices, the investors, & the mature diaspora of Palm/webOS developers...

Now that came after Carleton Fiorina (POTUS wannabee) was fired & Meg Whitmann came on from eBay to run the company into the ground, surely an archetype of JC...

As long as it is a solution to my needs. At this point, having had the Q's since launch, I can't see a reason to change. Fabulous footprint, removable battery, excellent email, messaging and phone. If the hardware holds together, I would use the Q's for 5, 7 or more years.

BlackBerry didn't make one single penny on BB10. It's been a money-sucking black hole since day 1. You can't expect them to keep throwing money away. It's unsustainable.

I'm a big fan of BB10, too, but I'm also realistic. BlackBerry is doing what they have to do to stay afloat as a business. If that means going Android - or shutting down the handset business altogether - that's what they must do.

I would not want a ceo thinks like that. I would want my ceo to tell me, "I will make it work." that's who Chen is. He will make the handsets division work .

Just letting u all know ur phones that are os10 won't be supported after first of year with updates. And no new fones that are just os10. This is last time I spend one penny on any BlackBerry product. BlackBerry is the new commadore 64. What an honor.

I hate Chen for doing that!!!

Oh well, that is YOUR opinion. Please just go away and play somewhere else please. Why do people like you say this ****? A new update has already been announced for next year, so what you are saying is wrong for a start. My Passport will be a viable phone for a good few years yet. And if BlackBerry don't do another BB10 phone, so be it. Just quit spreading your doom & gloom. I don't care if people like you don't but another BlackBerry product, so go away.

The next update is slated for March. I expect "support" will continue for another year or two, at least, in the form of maintenance and security updates. But active development and growth of the OS UI and features is done.
