    It does. Whenever there is a new item (news, accessories, contest, etc) it will prompt you by making sort of a blink noise. And a Blackberry red star will be on the app.

    I'm not talking a out being notified about a new notification. When I used to open the app it would make a nice sound but stopped doing that!
