Whoever marked my other thread as closed, my question was not answered.

For anyone who is wondering, the gestures to make the graph and cpu stats appear is swiping over the battery icon, but there is more to it than that if you want to be able to do it consistently.

    1. swiping down over the battery icon toggles graph or cpu stats
    2. to remove either overlay, you must swipe down and then swipe back up immediately.

Now, does anyone know what the graph actually means and why is seems to only update when the screen is being touched? There is no way I am the only one who is curious about a CPU usage graph (that you can see while inside an app) on a device that runs an android emulator.

Its a developer mode of sorts. Android has this too. It's used by developers to determine how they are impacting the system.

No idea what the CPU line is indicating.
Memory is apparently showing how many mb are being used
FPS is the current frames per second. Right now yours looks to say it's at 2946fps
Rest is probably dealing with the GPU processes. Nothing on screen so GPU is not doing anything.

Only shows up in internal builds (stuff that is either smuggled out of or accidentally released from Waterloo). What the chart and the data table are actually saying will probably remain unknown for that reason.

Yes this is correct, swipping down on the battery will make it appear, then change, and finally disappear. Here is a screen capture of it on screen. The standard screen capture will not record it but the screen recording app Penzus does. A quick screen shot of the video play back is what is attached.
