    Dear all,

It took some effort, but i think this could be what the Q30 is going to look like.

It has the 4.5" - 5" screen from the February leak, a toolbelt from a concept device i made ( that's why it looks a bit cartoonish ), the QWERTY from the recent Q20 - Q30 leaks, and on top of the lcd screen is taken from a z10. Lower metal ring is from the Kopi concept. Remember, these are are fillers.

First picture is the picture from the leaks, second one is the filled up version.

    Enjoy!

    Nice try!
i like it, even if without the tool-belt (thought it was only for the Q20 Classic?) it would be more attractive (huge screen)

I don't know to be honest....To me it makes no sense to make the OS compatible for a toolbelt, and then not use it on your ( i think ) flagship 'keyboarded' device....

This is going to look like the Q20 as it has the four row keyboard and a toolbelt. So far, it seems as if the Q30 won't have a toolbelt and will have a 3 row keyboard.

it would have sense if Chen considers the Q20 aka Classic as a transition phone to attract legacy devices' users, and in parallel keep a flagship device aimed at conquering new consumers from other platforms (not looking backwards to a tool-belt)
That said i don't know if i need a tool-belt, i'd like to try it to really feel the difference and gain in fluidity:
i fear the physical trackpad for material issues but i wouldn't like a virtual one, i can see the interest of a back key as my Q10 need to scroll down the page to make it appear on the screen, on the other hand i don't know if the cut and paste would be more intuitive with the tool-belt...

If they made this minus the tool belt I'd be all over it like a fat kid at a buffet.

This looks really good. However, the final product will omit the tool belt making it look even better!

I wish it would have the stainless frets though. I'm thinking these parts are for a dev unit, that doesn't have to look as "nice."

Please put the keyboard even lower to gain that space for the screen :d the bigger the screen, the better love it and like in any way except with that stupid and unnecessary and unwanted belt crap. I love my Q10 with no belt and I am coming from a traditional trackpad BlackBerry
    (curve).

If you have used the old Blackberry and then the Q10, you would be missing the tool belt. Most of the people who work with Blackberry needs the tool belt to work, and for the tool belt people would go back to BBOS device.

The old blackberry sales today still exceed the new ones last quarter. This tells you how much people disliked the BB10 OS and is still using the BBOS devices. BBOS with the trackpad, tool belts and buttons simply works for them. Minimalist design? that's for Iphone. Utilitarian design fits blackberry better.

If I didn't want a belt I would have bought a Q10. Do you want another Q10 flop! I don't use the touch screen, I would rather save my RAM. Put more RAM with a toolbelt. If you want a bigger screen make it a 6/9 ratio and add more keys.

BB10 flop sales are because of misinformation and lack of marketing, not because people prefer BBOS. If you do not consider the "contact section" -which is anyway decent- BB10 is far more efficent compared to BBOS7. Just look at the browser,or at the hub,the syncing option, the multitasking ability..

I tend to disagree. As someone already pointed out its because of lack of marketing that BB10 didn't sale. BlackBerry thought that BB10 would sale it's own self through "word of mouth" with little marketing to show for it. People don't dislike BB10 (maybe you should read carrier reviews from customers and such), it's because they simply don't know anything about BB10. You still have people who when they see you with a BlackBerry ridicule you because what they see is outdated tech. Yes you may have people who want trackpad but those are businesses who use BES10, not the customers (at least not a lot of them). People simply don't buy a BlackBerry because it's, BBOS, is old news to them and outdated. Plus many consider BBM going cross platform as a huge let down on BlackBerry's behalf.

Marketing and getting the BB10 devices in the hands of the customers is the key of success.
As you clearly see how impressed was the Australian CNET writer, you can feel he expected something very bad because of all the bad buzz and easy laughters who belittled an OS they didn't even try!

Looking at the leaked photo. It looks like the device could be a 16:9 with a really small qwerty keyboard at the bottom where the horizontal bar is.

    No tool belt please.

If the Q30 comes in 16:9. Ill sleep overnight before the store opens on launch day!

If so I hope the Q20 wouldn't have a super tall light saber screen with keyboard and just be like a Q10 with a normal keyboard and the toolbelt...
