As the title states, this thread is about questions/options for the convenience key.

Blackberry Assistant is great and all, but I don't use it that often and would rather reassign my convenience key for something more useful such as a quick mute as exists on the iPhone.

I did some searching but found dead end threads so that's why I created this.

Does anyone know exactly what 'activate with mute key' means?

Does that pertain solely to earpod mute keys, or can you actually reassign the convenience key as per the legacy devices?

    Merci beaucoup

Pushing and holding the mute key between the volume rocker will activate assistant. It will also pause music while playing local music/watching online video. Great for stopping annoying online ad videos too.

No, you can't assign a different function to the mute key. That was on Legacy devices only.
