Yeah, I'm just trying to wrap my head around the logistics of the question in the first place.

Google Play Services (or the Store, if that's what the the OP really meant) has nothing to do with installing an OS - even on actual android phones.

Try what? It's impossible to install the Android operating system on any BB10 device.

Obviously, you don't get what we're saying...

But, hey, have at it and let us know how it goes.

It worked but did not worked.

Got confused while on the booting process and I assumed that this passport device didn't gave the root access to Android Oreo operating system and thus is in a confusing mode.

Few of the first attempt, it seems it worked and then after 2 or 3 reboots, it forgot who am I.

My take on this is : don't try this attempt on your blackberry passport otherwise you will loose your passport for ever

We told you it wouldn't work.

You might be able to restore your Passport to working order by reinstalling BB10 OS using an autoloader.

Your take on it? A simple search would have shown more questions and the same answers than there are stars in the sky (figuratively) about what you were to inevitably fail at. It's basic BlackBerry security 101.

I'm confused by what you are saying.

You can't load any operating system on a Passport except BB10 because of signing security built into the hardware. And it's not possible to get root on BB10 - it's been tried.

Others have asked about root access to the android runtime in BB10, but being a "runtime", there is no "root" to get to. Because it's not a whole android operating system.

So just what did you try that got "confused" through the "booting process"? And "first few attempts" at what?

And how does an inanimate object forget "who you are"?

My guess would be to have tried in a different context.

Many have expressed that same wish. Not saying it won't happen, but the odds are against it.

Enjoy your Passport and BB10 while you can.
