Just letting you know that Chrome is an incredible alternative browser for the Passport. I found the APK online, it should be a native application.

It's ironic because Chrome sucks on my Android Samsung Galaxy Tab S I had to delete it because it's hogging my system resource. It lags badly over time and battery drains at a 1:1 ratio 1% for every 1 min of usage.

I was reluctant to opt for chrome for many years, but have since come around. Now I use chrome on all my computers and mobile devices. The only concern I would have is with security of information. As we know, everything you type into chrome, google, or just about anything is sold by google to the highest bidder. Sure, they claim it is all anonymous, but is it really?

Oddly I couldn't download Chrome on Snap, but could get Chrome Beta.

Go figure. I'll just have to be cutting edge.

I agree. Chrome runs much better than the native browser

I disagree. The scrolling is too choppy for me.

Agree, found it super laggy. Also leaves a huge footprint and chews through battery faster than almost all other browsers. Also, it's pretty much impossible to use the trackpad with Chrome as it's seemingly on turbo speed and jumps up and down way too quickly. Would actually say that chrome os one of the worst browsers I've tried on the passport, (and it sucked on my note3 too).

sadly 39.0.2171.93 is the last version that seems to work. Anything in the 40 series won't launch

Having second thoughts installing. I always use the stock browser on my smartphones. Last time I used a third party browser was on my Nokia E90, E72, and N95 & N96.
