As a matter of interest, I am on release 10.3.2-440 and the double typing has completely disappeared. Any double letters are now my own fault

Haven't had even one double letter since the update. I used to get them on j, k and sometimes m.

    Cheers.

BlackBerry told me to upgrade to 10.3.2.... indicating that they think it's software.
I was running 10.3.2 and they asked me to return for replacement.

The problem is hardware, the solution is software.

Really is a defect in the motherboard .. I am with a Q30 typing adadad qeqeqeqe zczczc jkjjkjkjk

I only press the letter Q once and it says "QE". A = "AD" Z = "ZC" ..

I switched to a new keyboard and the problem continues. I made a system reset, updated, installed a 5 different systems and finally 10.3.3 and did not solve the problem, ie it is a hardware problem

I have a red Passport. Never had this problem. Is this limited to the SE model?

I had exactly that problem (the double letters) on a Bold 9900, on which I had mangled the keyboard connector on the motherboard. The same double letters would appear every time I pressed a key.

So it's very likely that in your case you're experiencing a hardware problem.

I had q10 with OS 10.2. It has the same issue but only with letter n. I received update 10.3 and it fixed. Some of my friends said theirs phones have hardware error... Now I have Passport with 10.3.2 and has few double typing letters. What is now hardware (keyboard) or software. Of course it happens sometimes...

    It's beenn 7 months. 7 months < 1 year. You're still within warranty. Arm

Is it a NEW unit you brought? Did unit experience any damage? Like extra humidity? Are you a heavy handed typer? From hardware point of view conductive debris may cause double typing, cracked key pad dome may also cause similar fault. 7month is very short time, if it is a re sale unit, I can understand. But new is something un usual. How much you pay for it? A price reduction demo unit? Just wondering.

With my Passport, I have found that the double letter typing issue happens on or around the tenth beer. Not only that, sometimes my Passport exhibits another, more serious, issue after 14 or 15 beers - double Passports! I don't know if this is a hardware or software issue. Any ideas?

As from failure analysis point of view, it is capacity overload, lack of fuse, or wrong type of fuse used in the beer intake system.
