    Hi

The case does add some bulk to the handset of course. I do not carry a wallet and use only one debit card. A couple of notes of cash and that's it - travelling light, great!

I understand this was your custom case order through RYAN London! I ordered one in brown as well. My only concern is that it does add more width to the device, due to the way it is sewn together. Either way, looking forward to having protection for my Passport! It's a great looking sleeve.

PDair is looking pretty close to ideal, has anyone received a vertical unit yet? The clip looks less robust than i would like (and seems smaller than the one on the horizontal unit) but i would like to hear if others feel it is substantial enough. This case with a BBRY swivel clip seems like it would be perfect. Anyone seen that yet?

I tried a few Note 3 cases, they are too snug. I though i ordered a Note 4 vertical to try but it has not shown up yet. I am really missing having the high quality BBRY OEM holster.

As far as just a protective case until i find the perfect holster, the Amzer pudding case is pretty nice. I posted a review but it has not published as of yet.

Passport is as wide as Optimus Vu, while the former is shorter than the latter.

    BlackBerry Passport - 128 mm x 90.3 mm x 9.3 mm
    LG Optimus Vu - 139.6 mm x 90.4 mm x 8.5 mm
BlackBerry Passport versus LG Optimus Vu . . .

The Van Nuys Nylon case on the second page of this thread....

It looks utilitarian, outside work stuff.
But seems quite neat in appearance, actually.

I would agree . . . and yet it does fit to business attire (suit with a necktie).

Just got a red Seidio Surface with a holster. Pretty simple, and hopefully durable. I'll see how it goes.

I use the BlackBerry hard shell. It comes with a screen protector. The shell is actually pretty awesome. I like how it feels and how it is not bulky at all. I had a loose 'p' key on my other passport, so I exchanged it for this one, got the hard shell case, left the back packaging sticker on, and applied the case. Now I will practically never remove the case, so it will have a perfect back and screen for the life of the device.

How do you find the backing of the hard shell? I read somewhere that using it makes the phone more slippery in the hand than when it's naked.

Does it have some grip? Thanks!

I find it to have just as much grip as it does without it. Definitely not slippery. I like how it feels because of the dot texture

I also like it because it covers the back. I wish the back of the Passport was the exact same material as the Z30 / Q10 and removable just like the Z30. If they made the back removable, the leather flip case would work MUCH better, just like it clips onto the Z30, it would clip onto the Passport replacing the back door completely.

It's the OEM leather flex case that is slippery.

it's absolutely more slippery. I used it for a few months til it slipped out of my hand one day and I cracked my screen. switched to a cheap hard case with a lot more grip

Now I'm confused. Is it less slippery then if it was naked? Or the hard shell case gave it more grip but just not enough???
