Gmail contacts won't sync any longer due to BB10 compatibility. I switched to Outlook and everything syncs fine now.

You can fix it by changing the server.
    Paste this in:
    https://www.googleapis.com/.well-known/carddav

Actually it does work, you need to do the following:

First, remove the existing contacts account, then go to your Google account and ensure 2FA is disabled and also make sure the so called "allow less secure apps" is enabled.
If you wish to leave 2FA enabled, you can also create an app password and use the created password for step # 6.

    Now follow these instructions carefully:

    1. Go to Accounts.

    2. Select Add Account.

    3. Select Advanced at the bottom of the screen.

    4. Tap CardDav.

    5. Enter whatever you like for a description, and your Gmail e-mail address for username and e-mail address.

6.Enter your Gmail password for the password.

    7. For the Server Address, enter the following:

    https://www.googleapis.com/.well-known/carddav

You might also need to sign out of Google from the browser to make this work.

The suspicion is Google depreciated a URL, but in any case this method is confirmed to work for contacts.

That server address is not working when I try this. Any other workarounds? Thanks.

For some reason copy and paste didn't work when I tried. I typed it in manually and it worked. Grasping at straws slightly, but give this a go.

Truth is now good to go based on comments on the other thread on this topic. If anyone else is having trouble, feel free to chime in: we can probably get your contacts syncing back for you.

I had not put my Gmail address in the user name field, so this messed everything up. Also, you have to leave the "allow less secure apps" on, otherwise you will get an error message on your BlackBerry Passport about your cardDav.

I am trying the same procedures on my Q10 but its not working. I used ContactsImEx app and imported contacts from CSV file but they only appear in the contacts, not in phone app. and those contacts are like a book, means you cant dial any number or text them from contacts app. Further no contact name appears for incoming or outgoing calls.
    I badly need help.
