I've followed the instructions (see below), but can't go past the first step. Even though, I have a Gmail account, I can't log in (nor can I create a new account). I've tried these steps on 3 different BB passport & 1 BB classic. What should I do next?

Step 1: Add a Google system account to your device. Install com.google.android.gsf.login. ...
Step 2: Register your device with Google Play. Install cobalt.blackberry.googleID. ...
Step 3: Install Google Play Store. Install com.android.vending.
If ur trying to install Cobalt, there are three must have apks installed out of all the Cobalt apks, the last being the Gplay store. Each has to be downloaded to phone and installed then opened then enter requested info, the install and open Gplay. Search: 'Cobalt landing page'

It couldnt download and The initialization is taking quit long and has no effect.

    Clear knowing the cause.

As I indicated, you have to reboot your device.

If the files don't have apk extensions, add them yourself.

Hi Conite, in meantime i installed several BB systems (z10, leap, passport) all worked perfectly. so decided to re install the system. guess what it works finally. Reason is that trough BlackBerry World the update couldnt install. The reset through BlackBerry Link detected directly the problem wiht the runt time. As I do not want a lot of work I did restore some of the apps through the BB link. This was smoothly but I think it was smart not to re install the BlackBerry runtime from the backup. Thanks for your help.
