To disable instant previews go to settings > notifications > normal - scroll down > and disable instant previews. What your looking at is completely different...Read the fine print.
Yeah thought that was bad but tried to delete the picture but it posted anyway.

You have to go back into edit, manage attachments, check it and click the x at the top right corner.
Yeah tried the edit on the app and online version at dont see the manage attachments you are talking about
