I ran into this problem today. You cannot share contacts from the contact page of the phone app. You need to be in the contacts app. I don't know if it is related to your problem.

Same problem for me, I get the message that the contacts data can't be shared.

But the problem exists only for a few contacts, some get shared without any problem.

After updating to : SR 10.3.2.440, OS 10.3.2.680
We can share contacts again!! Yeah!!!
That was one pain point for me.

    Awesome !!!

After updating to 2480, i thought it would have resolved the issue. Read that in another thread and created my own as well with a list of frustrations.

Once it was updated, it seemed to be ok, but now the issue was random and now it's the whole contact list.

There is obviously an issue with the contact application. Just can't share and now I noticed I lost my pc contact for the whole address book. It seems that I only have my Local Contacts on my device.

This is crazy, BlackBerry needs to address the issue as this is a serious issue now and definitely impeding on my productivity.

Sound off on this thread if you come down with a solution to fix the issue!

    Cheers!!

It seems like something is wrong with the contact app..i am able to share contacts located elsewhere (like my email or another folder).. the truth is that this is very frustrating issue and BlackBerry has to do something fast because our productivity is affected seriously

BlackBerry does have an article on this issue:
Unable to share contacts on the BlackBerry 10 smartphone

Unfortunately, I think this is actually due to a deliberate change in contacts visibility in 10.3.1.

Its very easy, as an end-user, to forget that first-party apps (Email, Contacts, Calendar, BBM, etc.) have a completely different view of your address book data than 3rd party apps (anything else you might want to share to). Specifically, any contact data coming from a "social" source is clearly seen in 1st party apps, but completely invisible to 3rd party apps. (and in 10.3.1, even more invisible). You tend not to notice this, because the Contacts app doesn't clearly and obviously distinguish the two.

10.3.1.1779 some contacts cannot be shared, it seem like if they are new - after the OS install, they cannot be shared. At least it won't work for me.
