I noticed that when putting the $599.99 BlackBerry Passport in my cart and proceeding to checkout that the total after import and shipping is $687.37. Which is a lot cheaper than the $699 (before shipping, etc.) version from the Canadian Shop BlackBerry site.

Does anyone know if this version on Amazon will have any sort of limitations? Such as only working on American carriers? Or maybe not being able to be used on Canadian LTE or something to that affect?

Also, on a related, but more personal note...my carrier is Koodo up here in Canada, will the Amazon.com version work on Koodo and/or will the ShopBlackBerry one work?

I haven't completed the purchase, only gone to the final order/review screen, so be sure to check all the numbers before rushing to amazon.com to purchase.

    Thanks all!

I believe there is only one universal one for both US and Canada now (unlocked).

But how about tax? Is there still 13% for importing it into Ontario? Also that price is in USD right? Also there is still the border clearance fee ups or FedEx charges

This is the important thing to note. Buying an item in a different country won't be able to be serviced here in Canada.

I was using the 1-3 day shipping option to test amazon and it came to around $860 after taxes and currency conversion, shopblackberry.ca comes to $805 CAD including shipping so the amazon option will be more expensive but you could potentially have it 26th-30th as opposed to how long it takes shopBB to ship it (assuming 1-2 Weeks?)

Could you provide a screenshot of the Amazon order, excluding any personal info of course. I want to match it up to mine which is USD $653.97, to see what other bloat pricing might still come up

I was going to add a screenshot but now the amazon page says that it's unavailable when I go to it. It was a "pre-order" for tomorrow (September 25) though, so maybe they've just pulled it due to timing.

Ditto. I am hoping it's only until tomorrow as well I will be heading down across the border to pick it up. So I will be able to get free shipping and be good to go. Should only come out to 663 CAD.

For AmazonGlobal items, you won't be charged additional fees if the actual Import Fees exceed the Import Fees Deposit we estimated. For items sold by Amazon Marketplace sellers, please check the seller's policies. http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/custom...UvbUpU10883889

Import charges are taxes. At least from past purchases that is what it is. Alberta has no HST (no provincial tax) hence the difference.

It's still showing up as unavailable...I wonder if there is a glitch or if they already sold out of all their pre orders.
