Does this ship to Canada? Most items on amazon.com dont get shipped to canada, and they usually forward you to amazon.ca.

I have to thank you for this. I have a credit on Amazon.com and haven't known what to use it for. I think I may have just figured it out. Never thought of Amazon.

Edit: Ordered and selected Global Priority Shipping
I know that a credit is not free money, but my credit has been sitting there for a very long time, so almost forgotten. I'm really excited!!

Depending on where in Canada he's ordering from he may still be better off. His cost is about $760 CDN whereas if I order from ShopBB and get it shipped to Ontario I pay $800.

Wish I had waited for this, now on the fence about cancelling my order on ShopBlackBerry to go for this option. $40-50 saved buys a case. Does anyone know if these are factory unlocked and likely to work on any Canadian carrier?

Link to ShopBlackBerry FAQ about cancellations if anyone else is leaning towards that: http://forums.crackberry.com/ext?lin...emeID.32403100

    lyricdal,

It appears that there is only one version of this phone so it should work with the big three. I don't know about WIND. I'll be using an AT&T Sim, roaming in Canada.

Hope that doesn't mean too long a delay. Maybe just the available units are sold. Usually Amazon is pretty accurate with inventories so my fingers are crossed.

Looks like a pre-order for me. $687 all in, with exchange it would be about CAD $755. Just a little better than CAD $789 all in direct from shopblackberry.ca.

I guess I can save myself the import fees and shipping since I have US address and its free shipping within USA. Bonus!

I'm using the MyUsaddress.com site where I have registered my US Address. Takes one hour to drive from Ottawa to Ogdensburg in NY state.

I posted this in the Amazon waiting thread as well. But, in case others are not watching that thread but are interested. I ordered from Amazon yesterday at 1:30pm FYI,

Just got off the phone with customer service and they said they currently have no stock. WTH???? He couldn't tell me if they ever had stock or not. He couldn't tell me when they would have stock. He basically couldn't tell me anything. But, in good old customer service fashion he did say that they restock items like this as soon as possible and that my order could still show up in the delivery window by next Tuesday. (don't know how that might happen if they have no stock?) So, I guess for me, since I am using a substantial credit on my account for purchase, it may be a longer than anticipated wait. Hope others that ordered from Amazon have better luck."

Will there be duties once received in Canada? I've ordered products a few times off the American site and on the page if will say the item ships to my geographical area and no duties on that order but I do get charged import duties sometimes.

Can anyone from Canada who has ACTUALLY ordered confirm this? I've seen this as well on my end, and the fine print is a little iffy (e.g., the tax on the 599 alone is more than $80, so it seems very suspicious that it's only $80 for tax, customs, import fees, etc... last time I ordered about $150 worth of merchandise, the import/customs/duties was around $30, so I'd want to verify this before ordering and then running into problems/"surprises" later)

Amazon.com 80$ custom charge is the max. Meaning amazon will not charge you more than the estimate. You will not get charged at the door, if there are additional fees. Amazon will absorbe the charges.

You should take a look at amazon.com faq before asking these questions here.

Yes it is cheaper to buy from amazon.com than blackberry shop Canada, all thanks to BlackBerry repeated attempts to crap on its canadian loyal customers.

I DID look at Amazon.com FAQ. The reason I had asked was because, I've shopped on Amazon and other sites before where I get something like that, but when I go to finally submit payment, I get an error (due to location, even thought it said it would ship), or it does go through, only to get an email a few days later (along with a refund) stating it can't be shipped to my location. Also, as the person above me stated, they have shopped on Amazon.com to then have import duties due later.
