Can I just switch sims from Note 4 to a Passport and make it work on AT&T, or will I have to go down to the store and jump thru hoops to get it running?

Nope. I have a Note 4 and a Passport. The Note 4 uses a micro sim and the Passport uses a nano sim. I had to cut down the Note 4 sim for it to work in my Passport. Once I did it worked fine.
How is the Note 4? Any significant upgrade from the 3?

I know someone with one and its too huge..tall. Not sure how they carry that phone. The Passport is much more manageable IMHO.

I've got the passport and really like the phone but being in Real Estate there are some apps the PP doesn't support. I've tried getting them through snap and amazon but they require Google services.

I like the Note 4, I just like the notifications that BB offers. The Note 4 is a fine phone and if I could afford another line, I would use both but I only have one line that I can use so Passport it is.
How do you handle device registration? I'd like to be able to handle this without getting a store involved, but I imagine AT&T would like to have a new device's IMEI.
Yes you CAN switch Sims even thought they use different sizes... it will work and hold in place...
Nah, they don't need the Passport's IMEI, and it should work just fine as long as you deal with the sim size issue.
I got a nano sim card, activated it on a AT&T GS4 active using the adapter AT&T provides, and when I switched it to the Passport everything worked fine.

I'll be going from a Passport to a replacement Passport, so I don't think the sim size is going to be a problem. Good to hear that I don't have to re-register, though.
So did you just ask AT&T if they had a Nano Sim to Micro Sim adapter? I ordered the Passport yesterday and want to switch out between my Note 3 and pp. I don't want to keep calling up AT&T for them to do the switch.
In Canada, the carriers will give you a replacement Sim for 5 to 10 bucks, no questions asked. You can buy the adapter for 5 bucks from any BestBuy and probably a lot of the carriers sell them to. Then, if you did ever want to switch back, it's super painless with the adapter. I'd just recommend getting the carrier to get you a proper nano sim rather than cutting your own to fit. Seems more legit and it's a super painless process. They can connect it instantly, no waiting period for it to switch.

How do you delete the apps that don't work in such a way that Google Play Store doesn't think that you still have it?

I'm from the U.S.
I can check BestBuy.
I've gotten new sim's from AT&T several times...just go into the store and bring your new and old phones and they take your old one and give you a new one, no questions, no cost.

You can get a nano sim to micro sim adaptor for a few bucks on Amazon or eBay.
