Can anybody recommend an e-book reader from BlackBerry World?

I need one for giving a speech. The advantage of an e-book-reader app in my case is that the pages of my speech stay stable until I want to flip over while otherwise the text file scrolls up and down at the least touch of my finger. This might disturb during a speech when you finished a sentence then look at your passport and have to search a few seconds for the next paragraph first.

I've already tried one, but it doesn't work well. It's mainly about loading down books from the internet. Handling own text files is extremly difficult and makes no sense to me.

Or, is it possible to switch off the scroll function during reading a text? I couldn't find a hint.

Try Playepub Ebook Reader from BlackberryWorld. Or Moon+ Reader Pro from Amazon--this is the best, and what I use.

Kobo App should work for you - have it scan for content and it should find your epub file and and add it. Best eReader I have used

The thing about Kobo, you cannot direct it to scan just a specific folder anywhere. And it's rather restrictive, I think--even on reading mode. One will have much more freedom with Moon+ Reader or Playerepub.
