Camera trick for low light
For those who have trouble capturing out of focus shots in low light, try the following.
Find anything around which is better lit and about the same distance.
Focus on it by tapping and holding the screen till the padlock appears on the focus square.
Return to what you want to take a photo of and just press the shutter button.
The camera keeps the same focal point, but changes the exposure. You now don't need to focus on the dimly lit object. Now there might not always be something around which is bright at the correct distance - but the technique works just as well from indoors to outdoors. Guess how far away you'll be, focus on something indoors, then go out. I'm not defending the focus algorithms, just hoping that this might be useful to someone :)
