The camera shutter seems obnoxiously loud. I've turned down all notifications and checked camera app settings but it's still very loud.

Anyone know how to shut it off?

Super fast. Go to quick settings, press the Notifications icon to set it to Vibrate Only.

Yeah, but what if you want all other sounds turned on?!

For now, you can't turn the camera shutter off and let all other sounds turned on...

Ya, I was hoping for having some on and shutter off.

At least I know it's not just me haha.

    Thanks for the replies.

You can finally turn off the camera shutter sound on a BlackBerry! Well, now I've seem it all! Awesome!

And here I was getting ready for the "It must be on for security reasons aka no up skirt pics please)" versus "I want to take pics of sleeping baby birds" debate!

    Times have changed.,.

LOL, takes one second to do. If are concern about the camera sound, obviously you are at a place that you need your phone to be silent anyways. It only take another one second to turn the notification back on, after you have taken your 'discrete photos'. J/K

No the problem is that the shutter sound is way too loud on the passport. I don't want to have to silent the fon every time I take a picture. I don't have to with my Q10, the shutter sound volume is decent there.

    Sorry man, calm down.

I don't want to change the notification every time I take a photo.
Has nothing to do with 'discrete photos'. Don't know what your problem is.

I hate the shutter sound. It's off on every phone I use.

I feel ya. Shutter sounds, to me, are just annoying. Loud or soft, no matter where in taking a picture. I like no sound.

Same thing with this iPhone. I have to turn the sound profile to silent so there's no shutter noise. Thankful? I usually keep the phone on silent all the time anyway.

I'm just happy to see you *can disable the sound of the camera on a BlackBerry now, even if it's taking that str to turn all sounds off. Back in the day, even with sounds off the camera would make that noise! One had to call their voicemail, then snap a pic. That was a crappy workaround! Haha
