I've read, saw and watched that the focus on the passport is slow, at least sometimes. On 10.3.1 is it fast like it should be? Thanks.

From my experience it is much improved. The only reference I have to compare it to is my oneplus and it seems to keep up well. Camera works fine for me.

I find the focus much improved over 10.3.0. Whether it is faster/slower than other phones I can't really tell. It is fast enough now, and that's what matters

Ok, I lied, I can compare it to another phone. I have a pureview 808, possibly the best camera ever to grace a phone. The focus lock on the beast is marginally faster, but not significantly. If I hadn't had them side by side, I probably wouldn't be able to tell which is faster.

Loving BlackBerry Passport camera pics when I first got the device in Jan 2015. Then got an update to 10.3.1.1565 and the auto focus failing. Hope to get another OTA OS update very soon, returning to what it used to be, bragging my BlackBerry passport pics.

Camera on the passport is much improved on 10.3.1. 10.3 camera was slow and the transition the video mode and back to camera mode was insanely slow. It's more normal now.

Improved yes but still not perfect for me. Camera is great for still shots, when taking photos of kids etc it's hit and miss, but hey its a phone not a DSLR :-)
