    Callers sound is not high enough and I struggle to hear the sound especially in noisy places. Additionally the high volume button doesn't respond when pressed but low works though when both pressed for screen capture both works. Anyone have a similar problem and more importantly know a fox? I used bass boost but to no avail.

    I find mine a bit low as well...but using the volume buttons it works.

    If your volume buttons aren't working then do a hard reset ie hold both up n down volume buttons together till you see the BlackBerry logo show up then let go and let it boot up as normal.

    Tried a hard rest but the problem persist, if I press hard enough the high volume button sometimes responds. I think this a hardware problem, and I was dreading this. I got my passport from shop BlackBerry US and I'm in the middle east now, not sure if the local reseller will honor the warranty.

    I think the passport automatically adjusts volume level based on surroundings. At least that's what I have read. Therefore this sounds to be a software thing that can be adjusted with updates. I have the same thing happen to me. I will dig further on this. Maybe others can comment.

    I can definitely use some higher volume during calls as it seems quite low to me as well.

    Just upgraded to 10.3.0.908 , didn't fix the issue. I really hope it's a software problem. I emailed shop BlackBerry and waiting for their response.

    It's a software issue I believe personally, calls aren't just low volume but media is as well even through headphones or an auxiliary cable. I noticed the difference using my Z10 using both my Beats and Bose headsets

    My call audio is low too! It's so annoying because it usually becomes low when I'm outdoors or when its very noisy. Hope there is a solution to this...

    I've got the same issue with all my calling partners, the volume of the mic go down then up to normal again ...
    So people can't hear me well when I'm talking, even when I'm in a quiet room the microphone volume increase and decrease randomly
    I'm wondering if it is a hardware or software issue ?

    I have the same issue as well.

    Have raised this point at the Blackberry Passport thread at the official blackberry forum.

    Updated to OS 10.3.0.1418.

    I concur---ear speaker volume is desperately low. I will sit patiently on 10.3.0.908 for awhile and in the meantime use the bottom mounted speakers as a work-around.

    I have the same problem. The other end of the call often tells me that I sound too soft, and it's like I am on the speaker phone, which I am not. Very frustrating. Sometimes I have difficulty in hearing using the earpiece.
