If AT&T is the exclusive provider, it's bye bye TMo
It doesn't appear they will ever be making an arrangement with BlackBerry. I've been with TMo for over 10 years, but I'm going for the Passport!

Can't you buy an unlocked one?

You could get an unlocked one from Amazon or shopblackberry and use it on T-Mobile. Then you wouldn't have to switch.
But if you need it on contract then yeah ..
obviously up to you but att will always be more expensive and as a ten year acct holder, tmo lets you get away with far more than you could hope for as a brand new att customer. nothing against att, they are my ISP but as TMO has not forced contracts on me in years, I bought the 9900 and the Z10 outright, and today simply ordered the PP from BBRYShop. Overnight shipping was cheaper than TMO, and saved me the $ to unlock it.
Now if ATT offers the same no-contract financing, I would consider it worthwhile but if they are still doing the legacy contract-discount thing, I would not recommend it. It is just a profit center for them, locking you into hardware and services. just IMO :)
If you can please report back how the passports performs on the T-Mobile network (LTE working)
Thanks in advanced

I agree with all the aboves... get it unlock, should work great on TMO... you will save lots of monies buying it up front... so for the time being, save what ever you can if you can't afford it now (like me). I know you would have go wait until you save, bug you will have to wait anyway to get it from ATT until available thru them.
Either way, it's your call... best of all, enjoy!!

SoSaa: I pay a premium so I have consistent data service via my ISP (be it FIOS or UVERSE), at my home. I pay SMB rates to get guaranteed SLAs. That I was happy working across my Z10 hotspot, served by TMO's LTE in Orlando, said a lot to me. Obviously that is subjective to me personally but if you are in a TMO LTE area, it is plenty fast.
Let me put it another way, I can't tell if I am on WIFI or LTE while browsing or streaming on my Z10. The network is faster than the device can take advantage of. Now of course, if you torrent via your BB, you will see a difference to wifi but I am just talking about streaming iheart/pandora, watching YT/Liveleak, and downloading email attachments, browsing the internet or connecting to your work's internal web resources.
TMO is what it is, if you are not in a 4G coverage area, it is not going to make you happy, regardless of the cheaper service.
