Is there any advantage to the higher price from Blackberry
or any disadvantage to the lower price on Amazon?

I would buy from amazon as the return policy is better, however I'm in Toronto and was forced to buy from shop blackberry. Fast shipping 2 days and no issues so I didn't have to worry about an RMA

You can still buy the black Passport from Amazon.com and have it shipped to Canada but the exchange rate right now (25%) means even with the lower price (Amazon sells the black Passport for $578 right now), it's cheaper to buy from ShopBB in Canada.

If the exchange rate gets better and they have another 'black friday' type sale (i.e. Passport for $499 USD), I'd consider getting it from Amazon.com depending on the CDN price in ShopBB.

Buy one used from Amazon. Only the packaging is damaged on this one. Bought the same one a week ago. It was flawless.

Search blackberry Passport unlocked amazon warehouse

Just look for like new, packaging damaged. It was $408 last night, now $438. Best deal hands down.

Not sure if there is much truth behind this, but I was on the phone with Shop BlackBerry today, and the guy was mentioning that I should check back the first week of February because they are having a promotion on all of their phones. He couldn't give me any more specifics, and i'm not holding my breath, but i'm definitely going to wait until next week to buy my Passport, just in case.

    Thanks to ALL,

andHoopitz, I think I'm following your plan,

    but to cover all bases
(as one reviewer on Amazon suggested that BB tech support was only available for Shop Blackberry purchase)
I called them and confirmed that they gave tech support to purchases from Amazon.

    SO...who's ever less on Monday...

BTW, I'm an occasional "open-box" customer, but "used" doesn't appeal.

Well, I didn't follow the sage advice of the Amazon suggestors
because I got a great discount coupon for Shop Blackberry.
    Bad move.
The phone came USPS after transferring from Fed Ex truck to Fed Ex truck no fewer than 6 times.
They charged my credit card then took a MONTH to transport it to me!
And they think they can compete in the business world...HA!

Like I said in the ATT PP thread, I got mine from ebay. Seems okay to me, I've used their return policy before so I felt okay with buying from them.

I got an ATT one for $450 which beat even the discount offer, came unlocked too (wasn't expecting that though). So yay I got a wireless charging PP.
I've been watching ebay for about 2 weeks now before buying, seems more and more showing up there as people get tired of trying out a new phone and moving back to android phone. Mine shipped Saturday and got in Monday, can't beat 2 days delivery
