How is your Passports build quality?

Mine is just perfect but the microsd and sim cover could be bit better ...

I agree. The sim card cover is definitely not designed to be removed constantly

Because he or she is going between his Passport and another phone (dare I say an iPhone?)
Otherwise, there is no real reason to constantly remove the cover.

    let's not jinx things here.

If you're traveling a lot, slapping prepaid SIM cards in for local carrier service in different countries can happen pretty often.

So far so good, extremely happy with the build, but unfortunately some people got flip flop screens.

Rock solid. Mine feels as if it could (I keep her in my front left pocket) protect my femoral artery from a tank shell @ point blank range. She feels as good as she looks. Every key is proper, everything is right where it should be.

Solid but the sim card SD tray is super and flimsy. It makes me feel like I'm going to break it everytime I use it

Agree about the sim cover, compared to the rest of the phone it is pretty delicate. My Passport is perfect though, rock solid keyboard, screen is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen on an electronic device!

Mine has been perfect. But all I have done is moved my SD over and install the SIM once. Haven't touched it since.

Passport took some time to get into store here so have not use mine for months, but so far it feels very solid and works great!
I don't remove sim/sd cover much tho, first time and then I let it be.
Time will tell how it will hold later on as I write quite much, but think it will stay solid..or I hope..

I read way too much drivel on the BlackBerry "official" support forum & my passport surpassed my expectations albeit a few wifi connection issues persisting... the sim cover seems to have a tiny <1mm piece busted off during the initial struggle to get it open... since I haven't fiddled with it & was directed to a parts site to get a new cover by the BlackBerry "official" support forum only to find the passport not even shown on that site at all. Summary: fone=good to great, wifi=squirrely...

Screen lift was getting back on the first one, but even my warrant replacement (which I had to fight for) has the issue in the top right. Otherwise, solid. Shame they went to cheap adhesive instead of using screws or quality-industrial adhesive.

Perhaps in the near future if they decide to do a passport refit they will change the construction of the passport with better quality sections.

Curious to know which adapter you're using to fit your nano SIM into the micro SIM slot of your z30. I still love my Z30 and would like to switch to it once in awhile from the Passport, but don't have a good or reliable nano to micro SIL adapter that I would trust enough to use on a regular basis. Any suggestions ?

I'm not impressed with the build quality of the Passport. I quite like the phone, but the steel band offers little strength against torsion. The logo is pasted onto the back cover and can fall off easily. And the screen is pasted on the front, much the same.

Besides all the QC issues, the build is a bit misleading. Sure looks and seems robust. But peel back the layers and break down the actual build, and you'll see its a whole lot of smoke.

    Still love the phone, though.

BlackBerry.holds customers hostage what with their secretiveness & chip-on-shoulder attitude about the foibles their delivery (disgraceful digital river performance) & certain persistent distressing problems (i.e. Wifi unreliability) alleged. To be addressed by some future update at present vaporware & delayed for no explicable reason released... the customer experience is not good... IMHO
