Hi guys, May I ask..Which browsers do you for your passport? And How many browsers do you use? And why do have to use more than a browser?
I have tried Google Chrome and I found actually it is quite OK for the Web that I often search.
    Anyway thanks for your ideas

I've been testing several chrome based browsers for their features but I'm now back to BlackBerry built in browser. It's native BlackBerry and no matter what I do this is the only default browser that the system allows.

Thanks for sharing. Can we do the native browser into Full screen Mode like Chrome or just omit the tab bar at the bottom?

I don' think it does. It's very little options and you can almost do nothing. But if you are not a heavy user like me, it's ok.

I use the blackberry browser or chrome. Chrome always tells me to install play services but it is installed and it works.

I find the native browser very frustrating. It takes forever to load a page, sometimes it just hangs while loading so I have to press the link again to restart the loading process. I have CM Browser from the play store that works pretty good but sometimes hangs on some pages so I open those pages in the native one.

This is the biggest disappointment for me in bb10. Browsing is one of the main features of the device and after using android and chrome for years, switching to bb10 was a real shock regarding browsing speed..

    Native browser -
with only 1 + bar out in the rural area where I live, loading varies - can be fast or slow - I don't care!
The BlackBerry antenna and everything about the OS beat iphone hands down.
My daily driver is PP SE with nearby sprint-towered 4s as backup.

I only use the native browser for banking or other sites that don't display ads.

I use the paid Browsie Browser or Evolution for all other browsing because of the ad-blocking. I do miss being able to pinch to zoom using the keyboard when using those browsers.

The Passport has a beautiful display for the Web. No need to clutter that display with ads.

If you want a Browser in which you can disable java script, Qbrowser is a good free option.

Yes, it seems like I got a same issue like you. It sometime hangs while loading. And I feel Chrome speed faster a bit.

97.5% Native browser. I do have Browsie and Evolution from free offers and will launch on the odd occasion. Ability to easily have folders on an alternate where I can logically store/locate seldom used links is one reason among others for the missing 2.5%.

In the native browser, there is a (though) small "back" button.

Is there a "forward" button? I cannot find it ....

Yes there is. Simply select the overflow button (3 dots) bottom right and forward is on the pop up menu.

I use native, Web splitter, evolution and Zeus, Zeus supports flash. All of these have their pros and cons. I've yet to see a perfect one. And some of these block ads, but not all and some pop ups too

There's also hotkeys on your keyboard you can use:

    P - go back
    N - go forward
    L - refresh page

There are more but I never use them

Feeling satisfied after using the BB default browser for a long time on Passport, I have not still tended to use another one for the next time because the browser of BB can meet my demand of surfering the internet, and it is also a native app which makes me more confident than other ones.
