Given that the BlackBerry Passport does not have a OLED screen (where dark pixels are off pixels), does it mean that a dark theme versus bright theme does not have any battery saving?

I think that is correct. It is like the Z10 that I had. Bright was better on the battery than the dark. Same for the Passport.

Doesn't really matter on LCD screens.

I've read that it either doesn't matter or lighter is actually better on the Passport. Fine with me I like everything on a light theme.
