Having to restart phone to see USB externally plugged in

    Stumbled on this

Boot up appears to go faster if you hold the screen down showing the percentage
    10.3.1.1581

This may have been with other OS versions but just noticed it today

Boot up speed is already very fast with the Passport. The only time it's slow is after an OTA OS update. I haven't done any official tests by holding the screen down but I don't think that does anything.

Why in the world would BlackBerry not deliver the fastest boot time possible without user interaction?

Your finding seems very unlikely to be true.

It does not do anything different really. It's a placebo effect when you see the percentage moving though.

    This is exactly what happens.

    OP, you said it yourself.
