Bluetooth dropping - Is it software?
Good evening guys,
I finally got around to picking up a Passport a couple weeks back, and I'm loving it with one exception. It appears mine has the issue with bluetooth connection dropping. I've read tons of threads all over about people having this issue with their cars, and a lot with Plantronics headsets, but I can't get a definitive answer on what the cause is.
I've deleted and re-paired the devices a million times, rebooted the phone more times than I can count, wiped it, loaded 4 or 5 different OS versions (I'm on 10.3.2 now so that door is closed), but I can't seem to fix it. I've read several posts from people claiming a new OS fixes it, and others who have RMA'ed their phone to fix it.
I just want to know if its a software issue or not. I contacted Amazon and they're happy to accept my return, but in a twist, they offered me a 35% refund to keep the phone. If a future update MIGHT fix the bluetooth, I'm willing to gamble on it as bluetooth isn't critical to me. But if its a hardware issue and there is zero hope, I'll probably send it back.
Any insight? Would you take a gamble and keep the phone?
