Because I didn't make it square! Lol, I think the 16:9 aspect ratio makes the best use of the sensor (it's actually 4:3, but you can't select that for video).

It's part of the editor. Just open edit and then select on the "enhancements" symbol, you'll see slow motion. You can modify the portions of the video that play in slow motion, and you can select whether you want half speed or quarter speed by tapping on the slow-mo symbol next to the time line.

I like how it's done on bb10 - you still have the full motion video at 60fps, but also have the slow mo. I think most other platforms that have slow mo make the whole video slow and doesn't record a normal speed video.

Of course, moot point really, as the editors on youtube provide all of this slow mo stuff and at many different speeds.

You have opened my eyes OP! I didn't realize that option was in video editing. There should be a quick setting for it so its as easy as switching camera shooting modes. Time shift camera... Time shift video lol catchy name, heck I'll even let them have it :P

Are you on 10.3 or 10.3.1? IIRC, there's supposed to be 720p@120fps for the passport on 10.3.1

You can capture video at 240fps on the iPhone and it records the entire video in normal speed so you can select which parts you want to slow down. You have to select the slow-mo video option before shooting though or else it only captures at 60fps I believe and you can't slow it down after the fact.

On PassportSQW100-1/10.3.0.1418 and all I see is 60fps.
