I want something with excellent battery life good build quality good speakers. I really like the hub.. which is better? I use instagram, Facebook, twitter, messenger(facebook) and don't game that much.. im thinking about priv cause it has a very nice design. But I heard the battery is terrible and it lags...

Passport wins in hub, speaker, typing. Battery life both seems to be same. Both good enough. PRIV wins in app, camera, screen. PRIV battery is not terrible but you have the clear the cache once in awhile. Passport can download those apps but require some work and sideloading app is always slower.

I'm using a passport and have all those apps running natively with no issues. The biggest thing is what OTHER apps do you use? Priv wins in apps all day long.

The typing experience is a huge gap, ended up only scrolling with my Priv, but on my Passport I have the touch disabled and luv typing on it

With some of the prices on eBay etc..... get 'em both and keep switching your sim card back and forth.... best of both worlds.

    Priv.

Anything BlackBerry 10 is going to be a bit of a pain to deal with those apps.

Look at enough forums and you'll come to the conclusion that the S8 and iPhone 7 is a dud as well. Battery is adequate assuming a non-defective device which basically applies to any phone.

It's no speed demon but it's perfectly adequate for me.

Priv is only better at running those apps and warming your hand. Get the passport if you are not depending on those apps.

On BlackBerry 10 just use Facebook on the browser and you have Messenger and Facebook all in one. Works exceptionally well. For Twitter I prefer Blaq. I also prefer BlackBerry 10 HUB over Android BlackBerry HUB.

Again, from what I've read there are people that can't get trough a day with a single charge.
Go do some reading at the priv section of the forums if you're interested.

For Facebook I use my browser and for Facebook Messenger I use Disa. Android apps for Twitter, Instagram, Viber, Line. Telegram, and Linkedin all work fine on my Passport and semi retired Z10. I know the day will come & I'll have to make a choice between the KeyOne or Priv. Rocking 24-7 with my Passport OG, SE, & Semi retired Z10

BB10 is a bad gamble and 2 years is really stretching it.
Go for the priv or K1.

I got Disa from apk.com I'm hoping to use my Passport and Z10 for another year I think anything after that will be a bonus. But there are still people using OS7 and both my storm and torch still work so who knows? Rocking 24-7 with my Passport OG, SE, semi retired Z10 and 64gb Playbook

In the next two years I would guess that the core functions of email, calendar, contacts, tasks, etc will work perfectly as there are no major revisions of those widely used services.

The following will be less reliable:
-- Web Browsers, which will fall behind evolving standards
-- 3rd party apps, which will not be updated or be unsupported in APIs
-- Data integrations, such as Evernote or Maps data, for which contracts may not be renewed.

You'll need to decide on your priorities. I wouldn't worry much about BB10 still working, or about integration with Exchange servers over the next couple of years. But if you want access to new and updated apps, I would not expect BB10 to be a lot of fun over the next two years.
