I want the Passport, but am at Verizon. I hear there is talks to release Passport there. Anyone who knows more? Or are there ways to use it anyway?

No you can't really use a non approved device on Verizon's network, and as the Passport doesn't have the necessary CDMA bands... I don't see it getting approved.

No haven't heard anything about Verizon bring the Passport to their network. Based on sales and the age of the Passport I doubt Verizon would be interested in whatever the minimum order would be.

Change carriers or live without it.

I made the switch to AT&T for the same reason. In the end I'm happy and see no consumer benefit to carrier loyalty. I held strong on Verizon for years because of reliable service and good past experience. Now with AT&T I realize that in my area Verizon really actually kinda sucks for LTE speeds and availability.

It's not always carrier loyalty. My company pays for my phone and service. Any phone I want - as long as it's on Verizon. That is the carrier used by my company, and is a decent size account.

I went with the Passport on AT&T, other phones are on Verizon for a few more months. Son loves his Z30 so will maintain that line until AT&T get a good all touch BlackBerry.

I will be going the unlocked route from now on so I can get the phone I want.

I should have said unlocked and no contract so that I have more flexibility to use the best phone for me. So phone 1st, carrier 2nd preference

Same here, have wife and kids still with Verizon. I recently opened Cricket account, was skeptical but have been very pleased. Bring your own phone I can switch between hand sets by switching Sims no problem. They use AT&T towers but limit data speed to 8mps and 2.5GB per month for $35 per month. Great service here and everywhere I've traveled, and cheaper too. Plan on bringing wife over when her verizon contract is up. I don't visually see any difference in their data speed vs verizon. Customer service gets slammed on net, imagine subbed out customer agent said our system does not support BlackBerry. Store agent said BS put Sim in and it rocks.
