Lol I blew the mind of a best buy employee last week. He was absolutely stunned that a measly BlackBerry Z30 could handle a 128gb card.

But on topic, that's actually pretty awesome. I'd never need that much storage on my device but it's cool to know it works.

    Somehow, I don't think there's a 256GB SanDisk Ultra...

microSD Cards from SanDisk for Business and Consumer

Highest I see there is 200.

I suggest backing everything up that you have on it.

    Umm....

Well understanding that a 256 GB Micro SD card does not currently exist I must argue this is fake.

Either these pictures are just a nice photoshop effort.

Or you bought a Chinese knockoff that is coded to say it has a 256GB capacity.
If these pictures are real do me a favor and try to load a significant amount of memory onto them.

I can personally guarantee that it will not work.

They do make 256gb cards but I couldn't find the model which OP had posted online.

EDIT: I was wrong. The max they make is 200GB microsd card.

they don't, the highest they make is 200gb, and that hasn't been released yet. World's Largest microSD Card - SanDisk Ultra 200GB

I thought so too. There was something off about the pre reserved storage being only 4gb raised suspicions. I have an authentic 64GB Lexar and the reserved storage is 8GB. Being it's 256gb it should have a much higher reserved storage.

I wonder how many suckers have fallen for the scam and parted with their dollars. SanDisk doesn't make a 256GB MicroSD, somebody already correctly pointed out that 200GB is the highest capacity they make.

Besides the fonts on the packaging in the OP's photo look way off from SanDisk's standard packaging fonts.

    Yup. You are right.

They make the regular 256GB cards but not the microsd ones.

Hey man I hope you can do much better than using such derogatory words. Yeah, that's my Passport and you can see very well that the 256GB SD card is working on it. Even I was shocked to see the Passport accepted the 256 GB card, guess what, I tried it on my Z30 and it is working on it too. Unbelievable! Yeah after some search on the net I too realised that Sandisk don't make a micro SD of 256 GB capacity but by that time I had already paid for the card and I could not cancel the order because the seller had already shipped it. But fortunately it is working on my Passport.

It may be a working card and give you storage (very LIKELY not 256 of course) but just be forewarned not to trust any important stuff on that card. It could re-write itself after a certain capacity is reached and you could lose everything.

Yeah! That's possible and it won't be a surprise if it happens.... but lets see how it works. For time being I took it out and using my older 32GB but the good thing is that it is great to know our Loving Z30 and Passport supports such huge capacity micro SD. so I'm least bother about the 32$ I spent on getting the duplicate Sandisk.

This is the new package from sandisk for 64 Gb, 128 Gb and 256 Gb. The 256 Gb is sold around 275 euro in Europe. I thought 128 Gb was expensive. I do sdee that the card is not sold in UK, Netherlands, Germany but they sell it in Spain, italy and also on ebay and also in Japan.
