Try a hard reset. Hold volume up down in together until the BlackBerry logo disappears.

Did you hold the Volume Keys like you are doing a hard boot?

Try to reboot it, if that doesn't work you could see if it will connect to LINK (not sure how far in the startup logo it got). Other wise you'll have to reinstall the OS with an Autoloader. (or contact your seller for support)

Curious? Did this via an update applicationn? Or did this happen when you powered on the device for the first time.

Do do a "hard" reset on a Passport, hold the power button down for 10 seconds.

Could you guys clarify what is the difference between hard reset with two volume buttons being pressed and the power button for 10 seconds?

Some people say the volume reset method gives a "deeper" restart. I'm not sure.

To do the volume button restart, you press and hold both the volume up AND the volume down buttons for at least 10-15 seconds, or until the word BlackBerry appears (corrected by rebroker2009 below, not until the red link blinks), then let go.

To do the power button restart, you press and hold the power button for at least 10-15 seconds, until the word BlackBerry appears (corrected by rebroker2009 below, not until the red link blinks), then let go.

Power button reset: I was told by a BlackBerry service agent that was the way to do a "hard reset"on a Passport.
