Perhaps it is/was a planned model that did not get released? Maybe that was going to be the Verizon Passport?

It's the silver one, the one codenamed Dallas. The one T-Mobile is releasing in the coming weeks.

3 different Passports in the US market seems so strange to me. Put them side by side at a kiosk and watch the general public get confused.

Well, at best, only two models are going to make it kiosks--the -3 (AT&T) and -4 (TMO.) And not all third-party stores 1) carry TMO phones in all locations, and 2) put out every single phone in their inventory out on display.

Plus, most people buy their phones from their carriers.

I completely missed the announcement that they were releasing it on T-Mobile I was just about to start a contract with them, too. Any rumors or info on the alleged release dates?

You took my comment quite literally. Does BlackBerry even have kiosks?

Don't think TMo does contracts. The price you'll be paying is the same, just spread out over monthly payments, not subsidized.

Well yeah... sorry, misworded. I'm at work and was rushing through my post. Point is I was going to start service with them in the next week or so, but if they're pulling the Passport into their portfolio of phones I'll wait until they do that.

No, of course not--not in North America, anyway. That's why I was talking about third party stores.

It's just not a big deal, IMHO. Plus the TMO and AT&T Passports are rumored to look quite similar--unlike the -1 and -3.

Unless TMo somehow bakes in their WiFi calling with a special BBOS version like they do on Android devices, or you really like the look of the Oslo-PP, I'd just buy the unlocked Passport.
