Damn that is pretty loud very similar to my Z30. With the Z30 when you lay it flat on the table it projects a louder sound because the speakers are angled downwards, but the passport doesn't do that. So if they are able to keep at least the same quality and loudness that is amazing.
If the phone rotates to landscape, WHY would it be 1:1 ratio? I thought one of the points of making it 1:1 was to avoid rotating it. Now I'm completely puzzled as to why BlackBerry insists that all pkb phones have this annoying square display.

Maybe they have tested the design with governments and enterprise clients and received some positive feedback on it. I presume some research was done.
Question is: will existing apps that work on Z30 work on this? Or does this 1:1 ratio mean that some apps won't display properly?
Could you please expand on this? In my view, no micro HDMI output was one of the biggest knocks against the Passport and the new Classic. It is one of the most used features on my phone as I use it to connect to TVs and projectors to make business presentations as well as TVs in hotels to watch movies. I've never heard of HDMI being integrated into a USB output before so this would completely change my views on these phones.

Search mhl adapter, it's what samsung uses for hdmi output from the device.
I am with you on the lack of hdmi.
I'm starting to think more and more that I will be sticking with my z30.
The keyboard on screen on the passport ruined it for me, along with the lack of micro hdmi, and the lcd screen.
